Mary Elizabeth Beal, Allied Member ASID

Mary Elizabeth Beal is a professional designer with over 10 years experience in the trade. She graduated with honors with a 4 year bachelor’s degree from the FIDER accredited interior design program at the University of Florida. Her dynamic reputation within the college preceded her in the industry – as she was recruited after graduation to work for a major furniture manufacturing company as the Director of Visual Merchandising and Showroom Design. In this position she oversaw a team of designers, showroom design and construction, and furniture placement and visual merchandising for all products placed in the company showrooms. The highlight of her work there included the design of a 40K sqft showroom in Mississippi. She designed and managed the project from start to finish starting with drawing up the plans in AutoCAD, managing the sub-contractors and then overseeing every last detail down to the visual merchandising. Following successful completion, she was asked to come back to design/ manage building of second showroom in Las Vegas. Her 10 years of experience includes residential design, commercial design, hospitality design, showroom design, construction management, home furnishings product purchasing, visual merchandising and displays, and e-commerce retail. Living much of her life abroad, including Germany and Hawaii, has enabled her to incorporate her love for interior design by researching first-hand how culture, climate, geographical location, religion and history drastically affected the architecture and design of each location.
